Hofbräuhaus

What do you do for Christmas Eve dinner with the whole family in Munich? Visit a cultural institution, of course: Hofbräuhaus! (It's also one of the few places open tonight.) They only had a table for 10, so Abby sat on a neighboring bench.

It was late and our food took a while to arrive, so I munched on zwieback and read the riveting tale of I Spy Letters while we waited. I tried to get Abby to flirt with the cute waiter, but as usual she fell asleep instead. We save our best behavior for restaurants, so they don't make us scrub the floor.
